OUR VISION
The Leschenault Catchment Council (LCC) is a not-for profit, grassroots community incorporated association, committed to the long-term environmental protection and enhancement of the lands, waters and coast of the Leschenault Catchment in the southwest of Western Australia.
Our vision is for ‘a healthy, biodiverse and climate resilient natural environment and a sustainable future for people and culture.’
We share our passion and inspire community through awareness raising activities, engaging workshops; on-ground environmental projects; and volunteer opportunities.
WHERE WE WORK
The Leschenault Catchment covers close 4670 square kilometres, including the Collie, Brunswick and Preston River, which flow into the Leschenault Estuary in the Southwest of Western Australia.
LISTENING TO OUR COMMUNITY
In 2021 the Leschenault Catchment Council restructured to form a contemporary, membership-based organisation.
In the lead up, the LCC hosted Annual Community Forums to inform the new program structure with a long-term strategic approach. Support our work today and become a member. LCC Membership gives stakeholders, community members, and landholders an opportunity to provide input at our community forums, assisting the LCC to be in touch with issues at the heart of the community and help steer projects in the right direction. You will not be required to pay a fee or attend meetings.
